Parents’ Information Day

The Dyslexia Association of Ireland will hold an Information Day for parents on dyslexia on May 21st in its Head Office on Talbot Street. Topics covered will include:

What is Dyslexia.
Support Strategies – What Parents Can Do
Assistive Technology
Self-esteem
There will be a split session on specific supports at primary level and secondary level.

The information day aims to:

  • Give parents an overview of dyslexia in the context of the Irish education system.
  • Provide parents with the key information they need to act as advocates on behalf of their children.
  • Equip parents with some practical strategies they can implement themselves to help their children .

The fee per parent is €60 for DAI members and €85 for non-members. Tea and coffee will be served mid-morning but lunch will not be provided. Pre-booking is essential. To book a place check out upcoming events at http://www.dyslexia.ie
